China Glaze - Capacity to See Beyond
I thought I'd start the week off with something bright. I don't know about you but I'm over the cold grey weather and am looking forward to brighter days and warmer temps. Unfortunately, that is still a few months away for me so I'll have to settle for colorful tips.
Capacity to See Beyond is from the limited edition Giver Collection released for fall of 2014. This bright Aqua creme was just what I needed to chase away the winter blues. Or in my case the winter Greys.
The formula is thinner on this one. While smooth and opaque with 2 coats, the first coat applied quite streaky. Nothing compared to the quality I have come to expect from China Glaze. I've shown it here with 2 coats plus top coat.

The true color leans a little more teal than I was able to photograph, but not enough for me to call this a teal rather than aqua.
With its bright burst of color Capacity to See Beyond makes a great base for nail art. I used it as the base for my glitter Gradient with Shimmer Polish Jennifer
A lot of the reviews I've read about Capacity to See Beyond have been very positive when it comes to formula. If you have any experience with this one I'd love to get your feedback. It would be nice to know if I maybe just got an iffy bottle. Thanks for stopping by and Happy polishing!
I am so over the winter weather, bring on the lovely sunshine!! LOL! This is a great polish to start off the week with.
ReplyDeleteThanks =) It's sad when 27 degrees feels warm or you say wow it's actually kind of nice out today. lol
ReplyDeleteThe glitter looks perfect with the blue base, and it fits both sunny yet cold weather as well as warmer weather coming Spring!
ReplyDeleteNow that you mention it, this is a good transition polish for the seasons. I hadn't thought about it that way before!
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice blue. Love the glitter glitter you added on the tips.
ReplyDeletePretty blue. The added touch of glitter tips made the mani really pop!
ReplyDeleteThat really is a pretty blue. I am sooo ready for some warm weather!
ReplyDeleteThis is really pretty paired with Jennifer!
ReplyDeleteThanks Lisa!
ReplyDeleteI love this color combination together. It always looks so fun to me.
ReplyDeleteThank you =)
ReplyDeleteYou and me both! It's been so cold here that 2 handles on my car have snapped off while trying to open the door. I'm ready for warmer weather and a new vehicle
ReplyDeleteThank you =)
ReplyDeleteI love the combo with the glitter! This was the color I liked the most from that collection, but I already own similar colors so I didn't get it.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I went a little crazy when this collection came out and stalked my Sally's for 3 weeks waiting for it to get there. Then once it finally arrived I snatched up the entire thing without hesitation. I should really go through and see what I have in my collection that is similar.
ReplyDeleteThat blue is gorgeous! Man, I want a color like that on my nails right now haha!
ReplyDeleteOooh that is a beautiful blue! I love the glitter you added, it's the perfect touch!
ReplyDeleteThis is one of my favorite CG's ever :)
ReplyDeleteJennifer is so gorgeous over that base!
ReplyDeleteIt was a great pick me up color that's for sure.
ReplyDeleteThanks =)
ReplyDeleteI take it you didn't have any issues with application?
ReplyDeleteThank you =)
ReplyDeleteNope! Not that I remember. I've used it several times
ReplyDeleteI love the glitter gradient on top!
ReplyDeleteI must have a bad bottle then. Next time I use it I'll have to remember to let it sit open for a few minutes first. Thanks for letting me know. =)
