Pahlish- Move Slow and Steady
Today I have for you a beautiful nail polish from Pahlish called Move Slow and Steady. This creamy polish has copper shimmer floating in a dusty lilac base. It almost reminds me of radiant orchid, the Pantone color for 2014. It's a little too dark but, if you use your imagination the shimmer could be pollen that's fallen off onto the petals. Or I'm just really tired tonight and delusional.
Move Slow and Steady was very opaque on the first coat, but still needed 2 to reach full opacity. The application was like butter with the polish flowing freely, but not so freely that you have to worry about flooded cuticles. I've shown it with 2 coats plus top coat.
The copper shimmer is abundant with nice even coverage on the nail. I did have to do a little dabbing at the tips of some of my nails. The shimmer seemed to want to stick to the brush when I lifted it off the nail on 2 of my fingers. Nothing that was too bothersome and could easily have been user error.
It's such a pretty polish with a very feminine feel to it. But I wanted to see what it would look like with a matte top coat. I also tried out some dried flowers I picked up during Sally's clearance sale.
I really like the look of Move Slow and Steady with the matte top coat. I'm not so sure I'm digging the flower, though. Maybe if I'd used a different flower or one that was more delicate. What do you think?
I know this post was short, sweet and to the point but this mama is tired after the first day of school and needs to get to bed. I sent my baby off today and now have all of my kids in school. It took more of an emotional toll on me than I realized. I should be back to my old self by the next post. Thanks for stopping by and Happy Polishing!
this is such a beautiful polish!
ReplyDeleteIT really is! I'm so glad that I snagged it during her sale.
DeleteWhat a pretty color!
ReplyDeleteThanks for checking it out Lisa =)
DeleteI love the addition of the matte topcoat and the flower, that was an inspired idea!
ReplyDeleteThank you. I love the matte effect, just not the flower so much. I've got a few other flowers here to play around with and see if I like them better.
DeleteVery pretty colors, I like the unique combination of the glitter and the lavender color.
ReplyDeleteIts not a combination I would have thought up that's for sure but it really works nicely together.
DeleteThat polish is gorgeous! The copper shimmer really sets the purple off well :) Oooh and with the matte top coat, it's so pretty! Maybe a smaller flower would look better with it? I don't think it looks bad, though!
ReplyDeleteI think you're right about the flower. For me it's just too solid for the delicate polish underneath.
DeleteI love this polish so much and it is beautiful on you! I think the flower looks cool!
ReplyDeleteThank you =)
DeleteOH MY GOSH! I love this. Not only because of Pahlish (my fave) but the dried flower is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jenna. This was my first Pahlish polish, but I'm sure it wont be my last!
DeleteOhh, this is lovely! That copper makes the polish really stand out for me.
ReplyDeleteI love this unlikely color combination! So pretty on the nails.
DeleteThis is so pretty!! The shimmer is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThanks for checking out my post. =)
DeleteSo creative of you to think of pollen on a flower! But I can totally see that! I like the matte version, too, couldn't pick a fave :)
ReplyDeleteThanks =) I agree it's pretty both way.
DeleteI like this, the color looks very special ;)
ReplyDeleteIt is a beautiful color. I'm so glad I snagged it when I could.
