Im back from my blogging break giveaway! {closed}
I'm Back!! Sorry for my quick and longer than expected absence. I needed to take a step back from blogging and the nail polish community in general. There was so much drama going around there for a bit about clean up, and cuticles that it started to feel like bloggers and makers were being pitted against each other. I needed some time to think, figure out where I wanted my blog to go. If I wanted to continue with this as a hobby or turn it into something more. I still don't have all the answers but I missed my blog and all of you. So as a thank you for sticking around I decided to do a giveaway.
I have decided that I'm not going to highly promote this giveaway because I want my true followers to have a fair chance at winning. There is however an option to share the giveaway if you choose. There will be only 1 winner but this giveaway is open to everyone!
Now, what am I giving away? I've put together a little nail art kit so to speak. The prize includes a set of dotting tools, 10 rolls of stripping tape and, 12 little pots of multicolored rhinestones.
The giveaway will run from today until Sunday, June 15th. Winners will be announced Sunday night here and on my Fb page. Good luck and thanks for sticking with me!

My favorite blog posts are swatches, but I love your series on different polish finishes too! Oh, and the makeup reviews are a nice addition, since I love all things nail and makeup related!
ReplyDeleteIm glad to hear about all the different kinds of posts you like. It helps me with what I should have on my blog. I'll have another post about the different finishes up tomorrow and then the last one in the series next week. Thanks for your feedback about the make up posts too. Those ones always make me a little nervous.
DeleteFortunately I seem to have missed whatever drama was going on, apart from maybe a couple of whispers here and there! I think it's good to know when it's necessary to step back for a bit, glad you're back though :)
ReplyDeleteThe types of posts I like in general are nail art, especially when you get a chance to see the different ideas that different people have about the same prompt :) Specific to your blog I like the 'Who I've been reading' posts, and the 'What's in a finish' posts are really helpful for queries about what specific things mean and the differences between finishes that could get mixed up :)
~Becca :)
I was actually thinking of doing away with the "who I'm reading" posts. They don't seem to get many page views. Now I'm going to have to rethink that knowing people like them. Hopefully I can start finding a wider variety of posts or blogger to share. Thanks for your feedback.
DeleteWhat a fun little giveaway! I won't enter to give other people a chance (and I have most of that stuff anyway), but I will share it. I'm glad you had a break to clear your spirit, as it were, and I hope you keep enjoying blogging!
ReplyDeleteThank you! As much as I needed that break I missed blogging too and need to get back into it. I've got 2 pieces of paper filled with ideas for posts and a few series ideas that have been calling my name.
DeleteI really like your "What's in a finish" series, it was nice to have them broken down into their parts, and even explain the differences between some of the more similar finishes.
ReplyDeleteI've got 2 posts left in that series and then I should have them all done. Tomorrow I'll have one about glitters and then the last one next week. It's been a fun but challenging series to do. Thanks for your feedback. =)
DeleteOh yes, I forgot, I love the "what's in a finish" series too! Although I am still confused over linear and scattered holos. Maybe all mine are the same? I can't tell which is which.
DeleteHolos can be hard, especially if they arent a strong holo. I have to move my fingers is all sorts of angels with some of the weaker ones to figure out which one it is.
DeleteI like seeing swatches of non-mainstream polishes. And tutorials
ReplyDeleteThats good to know. I have a whole helmer drawer full of indie polishes that havent made it to the blog yet. I dont have a lot of experience making tutorials, but its something I could work on. Thanks for your feedback.
DeleteI like swatches And Polishes ! Thank You For A Chance To Win In Your Awesome Giveaway !!!
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome. It seems like swatch posts are pretty popular!
DeleteWelcome back! I don't want to enter the giveaway but I did want to say "Hi" and "Thanks for the giveaway". I love swatches best especially drugstore polishes or mid range brand like Ulta sells since that is what I buy. I really like duplicate comparison posts as it prevents from buying what I might already have a dupe for. Nail art is always a plus. That is originally how I even discovered nail blogs existed. I love makeup too! And if you have any hair styling tips, I am always willing to learn more. If it's about beauty I'm all ears! Or in the case of blogs, all eyes!
ReplyDeleteThanks and "Hi" back at ya! Dont expect any hair styling tips from me though, the fanciest I ever get is a french braid and 90% of the time Im in a ponytail. Thanks for your feedback about posts I actually discovered nail blogs because of nail art too. =)
DeleteWelcome back! Tutorials and reviews are my favorite. =)
ReplyDeleteThank you =) I think I need to start coming up with ideas for tutorials, they seem to be right up there with swatch posts
DeleteTutorials are my favorite!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your feedback Kelley. Good luck in the giveaway.

DeleteSwatches! Let's face it, when you buy a polish of any brand sometimes it just isn't the same on as it is in the bottle. Being able to see the products on and get others opinions for me is a must. :)
