Revlon- Beguile

Today I have a polish for you that has been sitting in my untried pile for months just begging me to use it. Beguile from the Revlon Brilliant Strength line. Sadly this line is no longer available. Revlon discontinued it to make way for the new gel line.

Beguile is a blue multi-chrome polish that shifts between dark blue, teal and purple. Although the purple is not as easily spotted as the other shades of blue.

This was a hard one to photograph, and unfortunately, there was no sun to try and capture all the colors in.  The application was good, a little sheer on the first coat but nothing to worry about. I've shown it here with 2 coats plus top coat.

Would you look at that bottle! Those colors, that sparkle. That's what I was seeing on my nails and so miserably failed to capture. I actually almost didn't do this post because I feel like the images are just wrong. But I need to share my failures along with my successes.

I decided to try out adding a feather as an accent because well why not. I've had them sitting around for a while too and I'm working on actually using my supplies instead of just collecting them.

I didn't realize how dark the feather would get once I added a layer of top coat over it. It was a bright teal color and was a great contrast with the darkness of Beguile. It was fun to wear for a day anyway.

I'm sad that this line of polishes is no longer available. I've had very good luck with the few I have in my collection. And the brush is probably my favorite to use. What are your thoughts on this line? Thanks for stopping by and Happy Polishing!

    1. The color shift was pretty strong. Its going to be a struggle for to capture polishes like this over the next few months. The sun goes down an hour after I get home and my lightbox just isnt the same.

    1. Thanks! I thought the teal would help bring out the teal shimmer in the polish.

    1. Thanks. I think I might try one of the new gel ones to see if the brish is the same or maybe the colors. I've only worn gel once but who knows I might end up liking it.

    1. Yeah I havent found any polish from this line in stores lately. =( But I think this color is close to Sally Hansen Back and Blue. I might compare them and see how close they really are.

  11. I see the pretty shimmer on the bottle, I hate it too when I couldn't capture what I see in person. I'm sure the polish is more beautiful than the pics, as you said :)

    1. It seems to be happening to me more and more lately. And I havent changed anything with my lighting set up. I know it's about time for a new camera but I wouldnt think it would take worse quality pictures as it aged.
