KBShimmer - Snow Much Fun
Hi there everyone, how's your week been so far? It's snowing here, and we're expected to get 4 inches. Thankfully I've got the perfect polish to go along with this weather. KBShimmer Snow Much Fun. I purchased Snow Much Fun when it was originally released in the Winter 2013 collection but, it's been brought back this year if you missed out.
Snow Much Fun is an aqua jelly that sparkles with light blue holo glitter, white glitters in several sizes and finishes, a sprinkling of micro holographic glitter, and of course, white snowflake glitter!
The application is easy with this one. The polish flowed smoothly off the brush. The first coat was a little streaky but leveled itself out. I don't have a lot of experience with the jelly finish, but the ones I have used tend to be a bit streaky on the first coat. So I kind of expected it this time around. Anyone else have a similar experience with jelly polishes?
As I mentioned my bottle is a year old and after letting it sit upside down overnight I was able to get tons of glitter in each coat. Because the snowflakes are a heavier glitter I did have to do some fishing and placement for them.
You can use Snow Much Fun as a topper or on its own. For this post, I wanted to show you how it looks alone. Shown here is 3 thin coats plus top coat. If I was going to wear this as a manicure I would probably layer it over a light blue to avoid the VNL.
If you'd like to pick up your own bottle follow this direct link or head on over to www.kbshimmer.com and browse through all of the polishes available for winter 2014 and let me know your favorites. I'm having a hard time deciding which ones to pick up this year. I guess it's time for me to get back to watching the snow pile up, and get ready to shovel. Thanks for stopping by and Happy Polishing!
Yeah, I do find a lot of jellies a little streaky at first...it's kind of funny, first coat I'm like oh, crap, this will never look good.....then second....AMAZING! Great swatches, I need to pull this shade back out to wear soon! :)ReplyDelete
Glad I'm not the only one to have that experience with jellies. The minute the snow started falling here I knew this would be the perfect polish to wear. Especially now that they changed the forecast and we are now expected to get 10 inches of snow.ReplyDelete
Somehow with this shade I don't really mind the VNL - it adds to the airy feeling I guess :).ReplyDelete
This polish just screams winter to me!ReplyDelete
The sparkles look great!ReplyDelete
I love the pretty pale blue shade of this jelly. TBH I'm not mad on the snowflake glitters (I have issues), but I think I would probably just pull those off and maybe do some individual placement with them instead. I definitely do find that jellies have a streaky first coat. If they're good, they smooth out in the second.ReplyDelete
I love the little snowflakes in there.ReplyDelete
how pretty! I love how squishy it is ;)ReplyDelete
That's a cute name...Snow Much Fun. Love that shade of blue!ReplyDelete
So cute! What a perfect winter colored polish. Icy blue! Lovely swatches!ReplyDelete
Those snowflake glitters just get me every time!ReplyDelete
I just want all the KB Shimmer! This one is especially pretty!ReplyDelete
This polish is such a cute one for winter! I really need to pick it up (one of the many KBShimmers that I don't have yet that I need!)ReplyDelete
I love this polish so much! I'll definitely need to pull mine out this Winter!ReplyDelete
Such a great polish for winter! KBShimmer does a glitter crelly right!ReplyDelete
It really is a pretty polish!ReplyDelete
Part of why I picked it up was for the name. =)ReplyDelete
Thank you =)ReplyDelete
This is the only polish I own with shaped glitters in it.ReplyDelete
My wish list of KB's is pretty long.ReplyDelete
There are a ton that I still need to pick up too. My wish list just keeps on growing and growing.ReplyDelete
The minute the snow started falling I knew I wanted to wear this one again.ReplyDelete
She sure does! Along with all the other finishes =)ReplyDelete
It's snowing? OMG I am ready for winter yet :( I love the snowflakes in the topper but not outside in the street!ReplyDelete
Despite the VNL, I really like it, it's like a winter wonderland!ReplyDelete
We ended up getting 6 inches of snow total on Wednesday and it's now snowing again. Thankfully I didn't have to travel anywhere for Thanksgiving. I love the snow just not the cold or the mess it makes.ReplyDelete
Awe that's a great way to describe it.ReplyDelete
I'll admit I don't mind it as much with this polish, but it still bugs me a little.ReplyDelete
It is a great polish for the season. =)ReplyDelete
I did a little placement with the snowflakes but was having issues with denting my polish job. I ended up adding a thin coat over them to hide the dents.ReplyDelete
I thought so too. =)ReplyDelete
Me too. I kind of wish I had gone for more of them on my nails.ReplyDelete
