My World Sparkles- Rose Gold (LE) and Always a Bridesmaid

I have been given the pleasure of introducing you to a new Indie nail polish company; My World Sparkles.  My World Sparkles lacquers are handmade and always 5-free. Elizabeth makes every polish with lots of TLC: thought, love, and creativity. Today I am sharing my thoughts and pictures of two polishes, Rose Gold and Always a Bridesmaid. There's also a surprise for you at the end of this post so make sure you read all the way to the end.

Rose Gold is a limited edition nail polish from the Jewel Box Collection. A satin, shimmery true rose gold color with a tiny bit of holo for added pizazz.

The application was a breeze. The first coat was surprisingly sheer but reached full opacity after 2. The big and pleasant surprise was that there were little to no brush strokes. That's practically unheard of with a shimmery finish! At least in my experience. Shown here is 2 coats plus top coat.

The teeny bit of holo adds a subtle touch of rainbow shimmer making it look as if a diamond were caught glistening in the sun.  There will be no re-pours of this color so if you'd like to add it to your collection I suggest getting it now while supplies last.

Always a Bridesmaid is a shimmery transparent polish with multi-shaped iridescent soft pink glitters and iridescent micro glitter.

Another great application experience with this one. My brush was packed with glitter when I removed it from the bottle. They did want to slide around on the nail a little and some dabbing and glitter placement was required for the larger glitters. Shown here is 2 coats plus top coat. Always a Bridesmaid dries with a slightly textured finish but each and every glitter lays flat on the nail.

This is such a delicate and feminine polish. I don't own a single glitter topper like it. I can see it layering beautifully over a pale pink polish. I chose to layer it over Rose Gold and really liked the results.

The effect was beautiful. I think these two polishes compliment each other very well. It's a very soft, delicate combination with subtle contrast. This is 2 coats of Always a Bridesmaid layered over 2 coats of Rose Gold plus top coat.

  3. I've never heard of this brand either but those colours are not really for me. I must say though that I immediately thought the first shade would make a great bride mani!

    1. I think you have to be in the mood for delicate colors to really appreciate them. They are not colors I would have probably picked for myself, but Im glad I got to try them. I like the combo of them together, especially for a bridau shower or baby shower.

  4. I think these polishes would look great on someone with different skin tone than me! And maybe a darker color under the glitter? I dunno though - they're not really calling to me. But great swatches!

    1. Thank you. And I can see how these wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea. Id like to layer Always a Bridesmaid over a darker brown polish for more contrast. I think it would look totally different that way.

    1. Anything holo seems to call my name! I have to tell myself to not wear holo every time, even though I want to.

    1. I can respect that. I was surprised at how much I ended up liking it once I had it on. It's not one that I would grab on a regular basis but I like the girly aspect of it for when I was something delicate on my nails.
