Bonita Salon- Miss Piggy

Today I'm sharing a polish from Bonita Salon called Miss Piggy. By the name alone you probably already know that this is a pink polish. And what a pink it is! Not quite a hot pink, but closer to that than plain pink this color is a pink lover's dream. I love it, I really do!

Pink-Creme-Nail-Polish

Now for what I don't love. The formula. This applied like a streaky, splotchy mess. The polish was so thin it was like applying tinted water to my nails. Shown here is 3 troublesome coats plus top coat.  On the plus side, the brush was amazing and allowed me complete control. I was even able to avoid flooding my cuticles. Miss Piggy also dried really quickly to a semi-matte finish.

I'm so sad over the formula because it really is a great color. I just don't think it's worth all the work to get it applied. Maybe it will work well for water marbling since it's so thin? You'd think it would spread nicely in the water. I'll have to give that a try and get back to you.

Have you tried Bonita salon polishes before?  What was your experience? I'm not quite ready to give up on the brand completely, I've got a few more here to try out first. Thanks for stopping by and Happy Polishing!

  1. Such a pretty color, I'm disappointed for you that the formula is so awful!

  2. That's a pretty color! I have used Bonita polishes and they applied nicely for me. Sucks that this one had such a shitty formula.

    1. Oh well that gives me hope for the other polishes I picked up! Maybe it's just this color, I know I spoke with a few other bloggers that had trouble with this one.

    1. I know. I was so bummed when I went to put it on. I really hope the others are better because the colors look amazing in the bottle.

  4. I have never tried these polishes before. But even from the results, even though I am sure you did your best, the polish doesn't look too amazing. I wouldn't buy it myself because a good formula is one of the top requirements from me.

    1. From my recent experiences with this brand I will also not be purchasing anymore. If I have to fight to get a polish applied, I'm done.
