Summer Time Nail Art Challenge Day 2: Sunsets

Hello again and Happy Friday! Today I have for you the 2nd day of the Summer Time Nail Art challenge. Today's theme is Sunsets. I decided to go with the trusty gradient technique for this one.

Starting with a base of Milani White on the spot to make my manicure pop. I used Julie G Santorini, Canary Islands and Maybelline Ultra Violet in the gradient, allowing for some white to show through for clouds.

Although this isn't exactly what I envisioned it to be I am still really happy with the results. Now let's see what everyone else did for today. I'll be back tomorrow for the last day of this Challenge with some Butterfly nail art to share.

  1. This is gorgeous! I don't think I've seen a gradient quite like that before.

    1. Thank you. I love doing gradients that have a "shape" to them instead of just going from the base to the tip of the nail. I think it adds a whole new dimension to the technique.

    1. Thanks! I have the entire Julie G Collection but have yet to use them. They have been calling my name so I had to break out a few for this manicure.

    1. Thank you! I wanted to do something other than just having the colors go straight across my nails.

    1. Thank you! I usually end up making a big mess with gradients and have a ton of clean up. I really tried to do a good job of cleaning up this one and its nice to hear someone noticed.
