What's in a finish?- Flakie
Today brings us to the last post in my What's in a finish series with Flakies. And who doesn't love a good flakie polish right? I know I'm still lusting after the first flakie collection Finger Paints released a few years ago. But what is a flakies polish? Well, the answer is actually pretty simple.

When the light reflects off of these particles you will get flashes of color. Depending on the direction the light is coming from you will see different colors. Fakies are like Duo Chromes or Shimmers in that aspect.
It's easy to get confused between a Glass Fleck finish and Flakie with the only real difference being the size of the particles. The particles in a flakie are much larger and easier to spot.
And that brings us to the end of this series. I hope you enjoyed reading it as much as I did putting it together. Thanks for stopping by and Happy Polishing!
