Ruby White Tips - Midnight on NYE
I know it's been pretty silent on my blog and Facebook lately but life has thrown me a few curve balls. And to be honest when my nails busted down so low I lost a lot of motivation. Anyone else feel uninspired when they have super nubbins? Today I have a quick post to share in hopes that it brings my blogging mojo back.
Midnight on NYE from Ruby White tips is a beautiful true blue holographic polish that I picked up on a blog sale a while back. It is the only polish I own from this brand but I was seriously impressed. I wore the blue beauty for almost 2 weeks with minimal tip wear.
Application was similar to most holographic polishes where the first coat was a little sheer and full opacity was reached after 2. While under most lighting the holo has a subtle effect you do get intense flashes from time to time.
I ended up wearing this alone without any nail art but think it would make a great base for some galaxy nails.
I mean it already looks like a sky just before the last rays of sunlight disappear and everything goes black. And while this color is no longer available I know there are a few out there that are really close if not an exact dupe.
I know this was a quick post, and there wasn't a lot to it but as always Thanks for stopping by and Happy Polishing!
Very pretty blue polish!
ReplyDeleteWow, that polish is really amazing!!
ReplyDeleteI don't own any RWT, but this is a gorgeous polish! I hope you are doing better, I know somedays I just try to power through with posting and then take the weekends off. It seems to be helping a bit. :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous shade. Sometime, when you feel low motivation to do nails, applying your favorite polish or any untried one also helps to cheer up.
ReplyDeletei myself am just now trying to get back into the blogging routine again. I know the motivation and patience to do so is going to take some time. I hope you are able to get yourself back into it as well! I hate the unmotivated feeling :(
ReplyDeleteThank you for the post!! I can surly make something very similar, if not exact to this color!!! Tamara is very close, but has larger glitter in it. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you'd like one! https://www.etsy.com/shop/RubyWhiteTips?ref=hdr_shop_menu
ReplyDeleteI love how it's a subtle yet colorful sparkle in this shade!
ReplyDeleteI can definitely see myself using a shade like this for galaxy nails, so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteTwo weeks wear time?? That's kinda insane! I had never heard from this brand but this is a gorgeous shade!
ReplyDelete2 weeks, whoa! And it's beautiful!
ReplyDelete2 weeks?? Holy wow! It's a beautiful shade as well!
ReplyDeleteThat's incredible that you got such great wear from this! And it would look great as a base for a galaxy mani.
ReplyDeleteI so understand what you mean about losing inspiration. I usually feel self-conscious about my shorter nails - I feel like it makes my fingers look short and fat lol.
This is such a gorgeous polish!
ReplyDeleteI got so many compliments on it. It's such a great color. =)
ReplyDeleteIt's great!
ReplyDeleteThanks =) blogging is rough right new because I dont have a set time when I can sit down and do it, the kids have so much going on for school before it ends, I've been working twice as much and the boyfriend is in the process of moving ( a little every night after work) and Im trying to help so it doesn't take him a month. Im hoping to get 2 posts up a week right now and then get back to regular posting when things settle down.
ReplyDeleteThose are some good tips thanks =)
ReplyDeletevery limited time and low motivation are my biggest hurdles right now, but things should slow down soon so that should help. I hope you get back into the swing of things too =)
ReplyDeleteI sometimes think the prettiest polishes are the ones with a little subtle something rather than the flashy ones. I do still love the flashy polishes though. ;)
ReplyDeleteMy only regret is that I didnt add the galaxy part to it this time around, but now I have a manicure idea for later.
ReplyDeleteIt's super insane! I didnt plan on wearing it that long but because of lack of time and motivation I just didnt remove it. I figured as long as it looks good I was just going to keep on wearing it.
ReplyDeleteInsane right! I figured as long as it looked good I was going to keep on wearing it. lol
ReplyDelete2 weeks! With my INM out the Door top coat nothing fancy or adding more top coat.
ReplyDeleteMy pinky nail just looks so short and squarish when I have nubbins. It just makes the whole polishing process especially trying to pick out a color that looks good on short nails seem like so much work. Thankfully they grow back to a semi decent length in about 2 weeks.
ReplyDeleteIts a great one to wear, alone or with nail art!
ReplyDeleteYou are so welcome! I am so impressed with the formula and the wear time that I got. I will definitely be adding more to my collection.
ReplyDeleteI totally feel you on the kids and end of school. Somedays I feel like I'm going to pull my hair out!! Lots of hugs for you while you all are nearing the end.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I hope the end of the year goes smoothly for you too. =)
