KISS InstaWave Automatic Curler

Taking a break from nail polish, I've got a different kind of post today. Thanks to Brand Backer and KISS I am able to bring you a review of the new InstaWave automatic hair curler. Kiss products, the global leader in the nail care industry has expanded its line to include a vast array of beauty care products, including hair appliances. They are set to revolutionize the hair appliance industry by providing highly innovative, salon quality products at consumer friendly prices.

The  Kiss InstaWave is a fully automatic tangle-free curler that instantly creates beautiful curls. It's easy to use from any angle and with any hand. The InstaWave features a curl dial with left/right curl directions and an auto shut off after 90 minutes. There are 2 heat settings (high/low) with a maximum temperature of 420.

Notice there is no clamp on the barrel, just the prongs. That part threw me for a loop when I first opened up the package. After reading the instructions I had a much better idea of how to use the InstaWave. But that didn't stop me from checking out the informational video at http://www.kissinstawave.com

And here is my version of the step by step instructions. Don't worry I'll go through each step in detail later on in the post.

Can I just say I love the results I was able to get. I have always had trouble with curling my hair and getting it to look right. After playing around with the InstaWave a few times I got the hang of it with great results.

Here's a before shot of my hair. You will notice that my hair isn't completely straight. I actually have a natural wave that I brushed as straight as I could get for this review. I should also mention that I used the high setting while trying this out.

Step 1. Hold the InstaWave vertically and place a 1-inch section of hair on the InstaWave curling rod.

Place hair behind the rod for "away" curls and in front of the rod for "forward" curls.

Step 2. Touch the curl dial either left or right and the InstaWave automatically catches and curls the hair.

I was actually worried that this step would create a tangled mess and Id end up ripping a ton of hair out of my head. That never happened, but if it did, simply push the curl dial in the other direction.

Step 3. Hold for 5-10 seconds and pull the InstaWave down vertically, letting the hair out. Hold longer for tighter curls and less for beachy waves.

Here's a tip. Switch between curling right and left to create a more natural look.

This is the finished look. It only took me 15 minutes to curl all my hair and the curls lasted all day. Without adding any product to it I might add.

I am extremely pleased with the InstaWave and will be using this instead of my regular curling iron from now on. I couldn't believe how quickly I was able to curl all of my hair. It does take a bit of getting used to though.  Oh, and the boyfriend really liked the results. He even asked who I had do my hair before I stopped over.  He watched me struggle to curl my hair for a wedding a few weeks ago so I couldn't get mad at him for that comment. I did make him give me a foot rub though.

This InstaWave is available for purchase in the US at Target, Ulta, and Amazon.com. In Canada, you can purchase one at Walmart.  And don't forget to check out http://www.kissinstawave.com for more tip/ tricks and a few videos to help you get started. Thanks for stopping by and Happy Polishing!
