Born Pretty Store - Black Iridescent Rhinestones
Good Morning!! I don't know about you but I'm pretty pumped it's already Wednesday. Why am I so excited? Well I have the rest of the week off from work so I can attend some programs for my kids at school and then Spring Break starts for the school I work at. That means that I have the next 11 days off from work! That gives me time to work on some things for my blog. Like today's post for example, today I'm bringing you a review of the 230Pcs/Box Newly Round Rhinestone Flat Back Acrylic UV Gel Nail Art Decoration Hot Selling Wheel or as I like to call them, Black iridescent rhinestones from Born Pretty Store.
This kit contains 230 rhinestones in 4 sizes ranging from 2 mm-4mm. As you can see in my picture the backs are completely flat which means you can get a nice seal on your nail during application. I've used some in the past that have a con-caved back and they tend to pop off easily. That's not exactly a quality I want to have in my nail art supplies.
So I'll be honest and tell you that I had no idea how I wanted to wear these while showing the different sizes. I've had them sitting here taunting my for a few months just waiting for inspiration to strike. Sadly it never did and I ended up randomly placing them on my nail when a pattern emerged.
That's a lot of bling on one nail isn't it! This is way outside of my comfort zone but it started to grow on me as the day went on. I decided to not add any top coat because I thought it would end up looking gloopy and take away from the finished look.. Even so each rhinestone stayed put while I did 4 loads of laundry. I thought for sure the ones closest to the tip would pop off during the folding process.
So I'll be honest and tell you that I had no idea how I wanted to wear these while showing the different sizes. I've had them sitting here taunting my for a few months just waiting for inspiration to strike. Sadly it never did and I ended up randomly placing them on my nail when a pattern emerged.
I'm not exactly sure what kind of pattern this is, so let's just call it a star burst for now. Since I'm rocking the nubbins right now the larger 2 sizes looked overwhelming on my nails and I ended up only using the 2 smallest ones. To complete this look I used 2 coats of Chine Glaze Intelligence, Integrity & Courage from the Giver collection and Pure Ice Girl on the Run to "glue" the rhinestones to the nail.
What I really like about these is the way they catch the light and reflect back so many different colors. It reminds me of the rainbows you can see in the oil spills in parking lots. I know that's not the best thing to be compared to but you have to admit they can be awfully pretty sometimes. That color flash was what convinced me to try these. I love things that are sparkly, and color shifting on my nails. Also I couldn't decide between two macro shots so you get a bonus one today!
These rhinestones can be purchased from Born Pretty Store for $3.41 but if you'd like to save 10% on your purchase you can use my discount code. Just enter LAUNX31 at checkout. I'd love to hear your ideas on how I could wear these because they are just too pretty to sit here. Thanks for stopping by and Happy Polishing!
Those are great rhinestones! I love the shiftiness of them :) And that's so exciting to have some time off! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteI'm really looking forward to the time off, especially since the weather is getting nicer and my kids will still be in school. Their spring break is the week after mine. My house might actually get clean and stay that way for longer than a day!
ReplyDeleteThe colors make these so much fun! And I cant wait for a little me time to get things organized and maybe have a lay around the house in my sweats kind of day. lol
ReplyDeleteHaha that's a plus!!! Enjoy it!!
ReplyDeleteI fully intend to spend at least one day in my sweats being lazy. Lol
ReplyDeleteFun design you got with those rhinestones.
ReplyDeleteI love these rhinestones!! I'm totally jealous of your time off haha! I'm on Spring Break now but I haven't even accomplished half of the stuff that I said I was going to....whoops (:

ReplyDeleteLove!!!!!
ReplyDeleteLove these kinds of studs! The positioning of them makes me think of a bling-ed out spider for some reason haha it looks like it would make a good accent nail for Halloween. Though its way too early to think of that lol.
ReplyDeleteThese are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI knew I wanted to try them right away when I saw them. Sadly the inspiration never showed up. But I've got a new idea in mind that Id like to try in the future after browsing pinterest yesterday.
ReplyDeleteThanks =)
ReplyDeletelol I totally see the spider now. I love Halloween so I don't mind thinking about it early, besides sometimes I need a lot of time to come up with a good idea for my nail art. ;)
ReplyDeleteThank you =) I love all the colors!

ReplyDeleteGosh, these rhinestones are VERY pretty looking!
ReplyDeleteI was really impressed with how long they lasted, especially without top coat and what I put them through.
ReplyDeleteI completely agree. I cant wait to wear them again in a way that's more in my comfort zone.
ReplyDeleteLove the positioning you ended up with!
ReplyDeleteThank you. It was a bit much for what I typically do but I ended up liking it in the end. =)
