He picks my Polish-September Challenge
Today I have a very quick NOTD post for you. As some of you may have read, some bloggers are doing a series called #hepicksmypolish where the boyfriend or husband picks the nail polish colors used for that manicure. I enlisted my 7 yr old son to help with this. He was not overly enthused, to say the least, but did it anyway.
The polishes he chose for me are Cult Nails Manipulative and Girly Bits Crunchy Leaves. Two indie polishes that I had yet to use so I was able to knock out 2 untrieds with this also. Double score!
Manipulative is a robins egg blue with iridescent shimmer while Crunchy Leaves is brown, red and, black glitters in a dark grey base. Here I show two coats of each plus top coat.

For this manicure, I also wanted to try out the two accent nails look. I'm not sure I would pair these colors together again. Maybe if there was a little less red in Crunchy leaves or if Manipulative was a slightly deeper blue I would like them together more. All in all, it's not a horrible combination though. I wonder if I can get my 9 yr old son to pick colors for me next time?
Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to check out the experiences bloggers have had with this challenge.
Thanks Lisa. Are you taking part in this challenge?Delete
love this blue :)ReplyDelete
Isn't it gorgeous. I wish I could have captured the shimmer with my camera.Delete
Whew! I thought I was the only person out there having issues capturing that type of subtle shimmer! I was trying out some the other day and despite my best efforts, my camera and I could not get the sparkle that I saw.ReplyDelete
I'm glad you joined in! Can't wait to see what your 9 year old has in store for you hehe. :)
Thanks. It was a fun challenge. I'm considering asking the boyfriend to pick my colors. Not sure I want him to see just how much polish I have though. He already lovingly says I need therapy. =)Delete
Hahaha but doing your nails IS like therapy!Delete
Wow! I like that Manipulative, even though I can't see the shimmer, I'm pretty sure that IRL it's gorgeous.ReplyDelete
What happens with your inlinkz? It seems it redirects to different posts than mine, have a look here ^_^
Thank you. I think I linked to anold inlinkz code from July that that is causing an issue. Ive looked around for the code for Sept but I havent been able to find it yet. As soon as I do I will fix the issue.Delete
This should be the working link: http://new.inlinkz.com/luscript.php?id=312824&nojump=1&key=ILTq2WFfq8sGk Let me know if it doesn't work!Delete
Im not sure how to add the link to my post. It doesn't seem to work by changing to the HTML option and adding it to the end. Should I be trying something different?Delete
Copy and paste the link Sparkle Queen gave you, and use the code in the first window under the "See how it looks here"Delete
Open the post editor in HTML and copy and paste the code in the end of the post
I noticed in your html that you can just change the number in the script you already have in this post.
You should see (in the HTML editor) you have the string id=290315&' you can just change it to id=312824&'
It should work now
Yay I was able to get it to work by just changing the numbers. Thank you! I struggle with all this code stuff sometimes. Thanks Alice for the help =)Delete
Sometimes it's a real nightmare ^_^Delete
