This Friday MoYou London will be releasing more image plates in their Cookbook Collection. And 2 new nail polishes. To see the first few plates released checkout my 1stand 2nd post. Now let's have a look at the newest additions to this collection.
Friday is almost here! And so is our new DOUBLE release!
You probably met Cherry by know. So you should also know that she cooked you something delicious again!
A few weeks ago I posted about a Collaboration between Gabriel Cosmetics and Brooke Anderson for the Head Down South Collection. Today I am lucky enough to have one of the shades from this collection to share with you.
Hush Hush is described as a steel grey polish with shimmer. You can see silver shimmer swimming around in the bottle giving off a marbled appearance. Unfortunately, the shimmer pretty much disappears on the nail. You can see a little bit of it on my pinky nail in this picture, but it's very subtle.
Shown 1 coat plus top coat
The application was super easy and smooth. Bonus, this polish is a 1 coater! And as you can see it stamps really well.
I wanted to try out a negative space manicure with a bit of a lacy look. I really like how this turned out. I used MoYou plate 06 from the Kaleidoscope Collection to create this look.
The addition of a matte top coat gave a sort of chalkboard appearance, which would make a great background for some metallic stamping. I think I like the matte version better, what do you think?
The Brooke Anderson, Head Down South Collection by Gabriel Cosmetics is available October 1st through the holidays at www.gabrielcosmeticsinc.com and retail individually for $8.50.
Gabriel Cosmetics is a vegan, USDA Certified organic, gluten-free and cruelty-free - Listed as a PETA's "Beauty without Bunnies" Company. Thanks for stopping by and Happy Polishing!
Today I have a polish for you that has been sitting in my untried pile for months just begging me to use it. Beguile from the Revlon Brilliant Strength line. Sadly this line is no longer available. Revlon discontinued it to make way for the new gel line.
Beguile is a blue multi-chrome polish that shifts between dark blue, teal and purple. Although the purple is not as easily spotted as the other shades of blue.
This was a hard one to photograph, and unfortunately, there was no sun to try and capture all the colors in. The application was good, a little sheer on the first coat but nothing to worry about. I've shown it here with 2 coats plus top coat.
Would you look at that bottle! Those colors, that sparkle. That's what I was seeing on my nails and so miserably failed to capture. I actually almost didn't do this post because I feel like the images are just wrong. But I need to share my failures along with my successes.
I decided to try out adding a feather as an accent because well why not. I've had them sitting around for a while too and I'm working on actually using my supplies instead of just collecting them.
I didn't realize how dark the feather would get once I added a layer of top coat over it. It was a bright teal color and was a great contrast with the darkness of Beguile. It was fun to wear for a day anyway.
I'm sad that this line of polishes is no longer available. I've had very good luck with the few I have in my collection. And the brush is probably my favorite to use. What are your thoughts on this line? Thanks for stopping by and Happy Polishing!
This Friday brings 5 more new plates from the newly introduced Cookbook collection from MoYou London. But there's more... MoYou in also introducing 7 Metallic nail polishes.
It is almost Friday!
And we have an EXTRA surprise for you!
But first,
The Cookbook Collection is seriously ***YUMMY*** We just can't get enough of our new baking stamps!! H-O-T H-O-T H-O-T and straight from the oven! Xxx
Meet Cherry, she has cooked you something sweeter for this Friday release and you
I thought it would be fun to share the sparkly goodness that is KBShimmer Hexy Bikini. Hexy Bikini was released this summer as part of the 6th anniversary trio. As I write this post it is still available for purchase.
There's not a lot I can say about this polish that hasn't already been said in numerous reviews so, I'll let the pictures do most of the talking.
"Hexy Bikini combines holo glitters in silver, teal, and pink and reflects beautifully under the light of the sun." - KBShimmer website
Shown here is 2 coats plus top coat. The application was easy with no need to dab or place any glitters. The sparkle this polish gives off is amazing. No matter how hard I tried my picture would not do Hexy Bikini justice.
Because Hexy Bikini is jammed pack with glitter I recommend using 2 coats of a good quality top coat for a smooth finish. My Favorite one for glitters polishes right now is Pure Ice Girl on the Run.
Again I was not able to capture the true beauty that this polish has, even in this macro shot. And that's saying something because I think this shot is simply awesome. Not to toot my own horn but umm *toot toot* This is my best macro shot ever!
If you're not familiar with the colors in this trio check out my previous post where I used all 3 colors in a Chevron manicure. Thanks for stopping by and Happy Polishing!

I have been given the pleasure of introducing you to a new Indie nail polish company; My World Sparkles. My World Sparkles lacquers are handmade and always 5-free. Elizabeth makes every polish with lots of TLC: thought, love, and creativity. Today I am sharing my thoughts and pictures of two polishes, Rose Gold and Always a Bridesmaid. There's also a surprise for you at the end of this post so make sure you read all the way to the end.
Rose Gold is a limited edition nail polish from the Jewel Box Collection. A satin, shimmery true rose gold color with a tiny bit of holo for added pizazz.
The application was a breeze. The first coat was surprisingly sheer but reached full opacity after 2. The big and pleasant surprise was that there were little to no brush strokes. That's practically unheard of with a shimmery finish! At least in my experience. Shown here is 2 coats plus top coat.
The teeny bit of holo adds a subtle touch of rainbow shimmer making it look as if a diamond were caught glistening in the sun. There will be no re-pours of this color so if you'd like to add it to your collection I suggest getting it now while supplies last.
Always a Bridesmaid is a shimmery transparent polish with multi-shaped iridescent soft pink glitters and iridescent micro glitter.
Another great application experience with this one. My brush was packed with glitter when I removed it from the bottle. They did want to slide around on the nail a little and some dabbing and glitter placement was required for the larger glitters. Shown here is 2 coats plus top coat. Always a Bridesmaid dries with a slightly textured finish but each and every glitter lays flat on the nail.
This is such a delicate and feminine polish. I don't own a single glitter topper like it. I can see it layering beautifully over a pale pink polish. I chose to layer it over Rose Gold and really liked the results.
The effect was beautiful. I think these two polishes compliment each other very well. It's a very soft, delicate combination with subtle contrast. This is 2 coats of Always a Bridesmaid layered over 2 coats of Rose Gold plus top coat.
My World Sparkles polishes can be purchased Through Etsy or the Website and are $8.00 for a 1/2 oz bottle.
