Sinful Colors - Jungle Trail

Today I have a very quick post. After being relatively healthy all winter long my children have decided to take turns getting sick. It's been a very long week and this mama is tired! I thought this would be a good time to showcase a good but very wallet friendly nail polish. As most of us know Sinful Colors is about as wallet friendly as you can get, especially when they are on sale for 99 cents a bottle.

Jungle Trail is part of the limited edition Enchanted Collection ( or Muse) released in the fall of 2012. A deep gray creme with brown undertones this polish makes for a great neutral pallet cleanser.

Shown here is 2 coats plus top coat. Although this polish dries to such a glossy finish you would think there was a top coat on it already.  The application is smooth with full opacity after 2 coats.

While I like the color I'm not sure it's one I would wear on its own. I think I would have to be in the right kind of mood to have it on my tips. I do think it would make a great pedicure color, though. Isn't it funny how some colors look better on fingers and some look better on toes?

I actually used Jungle Trail as my base color and layered Parallax Polish Krypton over the top. Click on the link if you want to see how I wore it. I'm curious to know if this is a color you would wear on its own?

Well, that's about it for me, my eyes are slowly closing as I type these final words. I'm off to try and get some sleep. Fingers crossed my 3 make it through the night so that I can. Thanks for stopping by and Happy Polishing!

  4. I love shades like this! I agree about polishes looking different on finger nails compared to toe nails, I almost always have darker colors on my toes

  6. I haven't picked up a Sinful Color in a while. I think a trip to Walgreens is in store because I love grey polishes lately. Hope you got yourself some good rest!

  11. Very interesting shade! I don't think I'd wear it alone but it makes a fun base for nailart :).

  17. I've been feeling the neutrals lately. I think I picked this one up originally to use for nail art, but Im now considering it for my next pedicure. Its just a hair dark for me to love it alone on my fingers.

  18. I'm pretty sure that was my intention when I originally picked it up. I've only gotten into neutral polishes recently. Or it might have been my "own all the Sinfuls" mentality too. lol

  19. Great Minds think alike, my toes are usually darker also. Not quite are dark in the summer months but still usually darker than my fingers.

  20. Thanks =) I would say Im about 95% equal opportunity. There are just some colors I cant see wearing on my tips alone.

  21. Thanks. I was actually even able to catch a quick nap Friday after work. Looks like the kiddos are on the mend. I'm on the hunt for the newest Sinful collection but haven't found it yet around here. And at the moment I cant remember the name of it, I must need more sleep. =)

  22. The more I look at my pictures, the more it's growing on me. But it's still a little too dark for me. I think Im going to try it for my next pedi though.

  23. Thank you! I like the touch of brown to it too. Makes it different from your typical grey.

  24. I think I originally picked it up with the intention of using it as a base for nail art. It's not a shade I'm typically drawn to but I am seriously considering using it for my next pedicure.

  25. Glad you like it. It's a tad dark for me, but I'm still glad I have it in my collection. I can see using it for nail art a lot.

  26. I'm going to try it as a pedicure and see if I like it better. I think it's too dark for my tips personally.
