Pretty & Polished - Carrigan

I hope everyone had a good weekend. I spent mine resting and catching up on a little housework. It was a much-needed rest and I'm almost back to feeling 100%. Today I'd like to share with you Carrigan from Pretty & Polished.

Carrigan is a pale peach polish with a hint of a pink undertone that dries to a glossy finish. I love peach polishes and this one is no exception.

Peach creme finish nail polish

The application was an adventure for me. I tend to apply my polish in a thicker coat than most. Applying it this way caused streaking but the polish did level itself out. I learned that if I applied thinner coats I had no issues what so ever. Blame the streaks on user error. I only mentioned it because I'm sure I'm not the only person to apply thicker than average coats of polish.

Creme nail polish in a peach color

Look at that glossy finish! This is 2 coats without topcoat. Unfortunately, at the time I'm writing this Carrigan is no longer available in the store, but you might be able to find one in a blog sale. I will be keeping my bottle because I really like this color and it makes a great base for nail art.

What do you think of this color? I'd also love to hear what your must have polishes are from Pretty & Polished. Thanks for stopping by and Happy Polishing!

  1. I must admit I am a little envious. I like peach polishes but this colour looks awful on me :(

    1. Oh no, I hate it when that happens! Thankfully I haven't had that happen with any polishes that I really really like.

    1. Thank you. I don't own a lot of P&P but the one's Ive tried have been good quality. I'd love to get a few more, so I thought Id ask for suggestions.

  4. That is such a pretty color on you! I used to always do thicker coats when I applied polish, but I have gotten away from that because I have found it is so much easier for things to not be streaky/problematic when I do 3 thin coats vs 2 thicker coats. And sometimes, like in this case, it just works better for certain polishes to do it that way (because sometimes cremes have a mind of their own).

    1. Very true. I'm trying to break the thicker coat habit I have but you know the saying. "Can't teach an old dog new tricks." so it's not going as well as Id hopped.

    1. Thank you. I'm guessing that's a pale blue shade, and I do love the color of Robin's eggs. I'll have to see if I can track one down.

    1. Thank you. I've been lucky that every peach polish Ive tried has worked with my skin tone. I can't say the same for yellows though, 99% look just awful on me.

    1. Peaches and tangerines are some of my go to colors when I don't know what to wear. I have yet to find one that I didn't like.

    1. Thanks. I did do some really simple nail art with it a few weeks ago on my blog. Next I'm going to try glitter tips and then stamping. Working my way up to some free hand art.
